Abstract
Research was done to obtain the lowest concentration of curcuma extract that is able to kill, to inhibit the development, and lo increase sex ratio of Plutella xylostella L. It was conducted in plant protection laboratory UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta from May 2002 to January 2003, arranged in factorial completely randomized design with two factors: concentration of curcuma extract (0, 12.5, 25, 37.5 and 50%) and technique of application (feeding and contact) in five replicates. The lowest concentration of curcuma rhizome extract applied through feeding that is able to kill, to inhibit the development, and to increase sex ratio of Plutella xylostella was 12.5%.
