Abstract
ABSTRACT PT. Wahana Baratama Mining (PT.WBM) sets overburden production target for 2.000 BCM/hour. While in June 2017, PT. WBM produced 1.549,65 BCM/hour from two existing mining fleets. The production at the time of the research still can not reach the production target. It is impact of the delay exposed coal, and result of non availability of coal for shipping activities. The research observes all of two mining fleets at PT. WBM. The first fleet, with the combination of 1 Liebherr R 9250 excavator and 4 CAT 777D trucks, the match factor (MF) value is 0,73 with excavator efficiency of 43,82% and trucks efficiency of 60,44%. The second fleet, with the combination of 1 Liebherr R9350 excavator and 7 CAT 777D trucks, the MF value is 0,70 with excavator efficiency of 42,39% and trucks efficiency of 58,68%. The production can not reach the target because low of equipment working efficiency and lack of trucks at the fleet. Some recommendations can be apply to achieve the overburden production target. Increasing the effective working time by pressing the avoidable obstacle times, using the time mode that below the time average. Increasing the effective working time can increase the production, but only for 1.584,87 BCM/hour. The production target still can not reach by increasing effective working time, so it is necessary to add 1 CAT 777D truck on the first fleet and 2 CAT 777D trucks on the second fleet. From the improvement on the first fleet, the MF value is 0,91 with the excavator efficiency of 55,57%, and the trucks efficiency of 60,12%. From the improvement on the second fleet, the MF value is 0,90 with the excavator efficiency of 55,07%, and the trucks efficiency of 59,52%. Improvement recommendations are result of increasing production of excavators and trucks from 2 mining fleet to 2.012,83 BCM/hour. From that recommendations, overburden stripping production target of 2.000 BCM/hour can be achievable. Keywords: Production, Overburden, Match Factor, Efficiency
