Abstract

Pit K West Panel 3 merupakan salah satu pit yang dioperasikan oleh PT. Kaltim Prima Coal. Pit ini terletak di Kecamatan Sangatta Utara, Kabupaten Kutai Timur, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Sistem penambangan yang digunakan adalah sistem tambang terbuka dengan metode Open Pit. Sistem penyaliran tambang yang ada saat ini belum dapat berfungsi secara optimal. Indikasinya adalah sering terjadi genangan-genangan air baik di luar pit (sisi barat pit) maupun di lantai tambang akibat luapan air dari sumuran yang belum memiliki dimensi yang tepat. Apabila dari sumber air tambang tersebut tidak ditangani dengan baik maka akan berpengaruh pada kegiatan penambangan endapan Batubara di Pit K West Panel 3. Salah satu kegiatan yang mendukung usaha penambangan adalah sistem penyaliran yang berfungsi untuk mencegah masuknya air (Mine Drainage System) atau mengeluarkan air yang telah masuk ke daerah penambangan (Mine Dewatering System). Berdasarkan analisis data curah hujan tahun 2003-2013, diperoleh curah hujan rencana adalah 86,96 mm/hari, intensitas curah hujan sebesar 30,14 mm/jam dengan periode ulang hujan 2 tahun dan resiko hidrologi sebesar 75 %. Daerah tangkapan hujan pada lokasi penelitian dibagi menjadi 4, yaitu DTH I = 0,28 Km2, DTH II = 0,26 Km2, DTH III = 1,20 Km2, DTH IV = 0,48 Km2, dengan debit pada masing-masing DTH tersebut adalah sebagai berikut: DTH I = 1,40 m3/detik, DTH II = 1,24 m3/detik, DTH III = 9,45 m3/detik, DTH IV = 3,45 m3/detik. Saluran terbuka dibuat di sisi barat pit untuk mencegah air limpasan masuk ke dalam pit dengan dimensi saluran sebagai berikut : a = 1,03 m; b = 1,03 m; B = 2,07 m; h = 1,08 m; d = 0,90 m. Terdapat 3 sumuran yang dibuat dalam perancangan ini, yakni: Outpit sump 1, Volume = 8.603 m³; panjang permukaan = 60 m; lebar permukaan = 30 m; panjang dasar = 46 m; lebar dasar = 16 m; kedalaman = 7 m. Inpit sump 2, Volume = 73.425 m³; panjang permukaan = 130 m; lebar permukaan = 71 m; panjang dasar = 110 m; lebar dasar = 51 m; kedalaman = 10 m. Inpit sump 3, Volume = 28.674 m³; panjang permukaan = 81 m; lebar permukaan = 50 m; panjang dasar = 61 m; lebar dasar = 30 m; kedalaman = 10 m. Selanjutnya air pada sumuran dipompa menuju kolam penampungan sementara (Keong void) sebelum menuju ke kolam pengendapan milik PT. Kaltim Prima Coal. Jumlah keseluruhan pompa yang digunakan untuk mengeluarkan air dari semua sumuran adalah sebanyak 1 unit Multiflo MF390 dan 4 Unit Multiflo MF420E dengan waktu pemompaan selama 20 jam/hari. Berdasarkan data dari Mine Plan Departement, Volume yang dimiliki oleh Keong void adalah sebesar 800.436 m3 sedangkan volume keseluruhan air yang berasal dari pit Kwest panel 3 adalah hanya sebanyak 55.944 m3/jam. Pit K West Panel 3 is one of the Pit that operated by PT. Kaltim Prima coal. Location of the Pit in North Sangatta sub-district, East Kutai regency, East Kalimantan province. The mining system used is an open mine system with a open pit method.m The mine drainage system are currently has not serves optimally. The indication is often occurs puddles both on the outside pit (the west side of pit) or on the floor of mine due to the overflowing water from sump who do not have proper dimensions. If sources of water not handled properly, it will influential to coal mining activities in the pit K West Panel 3. One of the activities that support the mining activities is system that serves to prevent the entry of water (mine drainage system), or expelling water that has been entered mining region (mine dewatering system). Based on the analysis of rainfall data from 2003 – 2013, rainfall plan is 86,96 mm/day, rainfall intensity is 30,14 mm/hour with a 2 years return period of rainfall and 75 % of hydrological risks. Catchment area on the site of research divided into four areas, catchment area I = 0,28 Km2, catchment area II = 0,26 Km2, catchment area III = 1,20 Km2, catchment area IV = 0,48 Km2, with discharge at each of these catchment areas, catchment area I = 1,40 m3/second, catchment area II = 1,24 m3/second, catchment area III = 9,45 m3/second, catchment area IV = 3,45 m3/second. Open channel be made at the west side of pit to prevent water runoff into mine area with dimension of channel as follows : a = 1,03 m; b = 1,03 m; B = 2,07 m; h = 1,08 m; d = 0,90 m. There are 3 sumps be made in this design: Outpit sump 1, Volume = 8.603 m³; length of surface = 60 m; width of surface = 30 m; length of base = 46 m; width of length = 16 m; depth = 7 m. Inpit sump 2, Volume = 73.425 m³; length of surface = 130 m; width of surface = 71 m; length of base = 110 m; width of length = 51 m; depth = 10 m. Inpit sump 3, Volume = 28.674 m³; length of surface = 81 m; width of surface = 50 m; length of base = 61 m; width of length = 30 m; depth = 10 m. Water from the sump will pump into the pond temporary shelter (Keong void) before heading to the settling pond that owned by PT. Kaltim Prima Coal. The number of pump will be used to release water from all sump is as much as 1 unit of Multiflo MF390 and 4 units of Multiflo MF420E with pumping time during 20 hours/day. Based on the data of Mine Plan Departement, volume of the Keong void is 800.436 m3, while the volume of overall water from pit K West Panel 3 is just 55.944 m3/hour.
