Pyrolysis is one of thermal process methods used in utilization of asphalt., Asphlat thermally decomposed under atmosphere and produced char, gas and tar. In this experiment, two models were used to predict char, gas and tar production. The variable studied was pyrolysis temperature. The experience was carried out in a report with 10,9 cm in diameter and 19,7 cm in height under atmospheric condition. The temperature was varied between 400-600 oC . One hundreed and fifty grams asphalt was fill in retort, after that condensor and heater were operated. After a desired temperature was reached, which was assumed as initial, every fifteen minutes liquid and gas samples were analyzed. The experiment result show there was a correlation between reaction rate constant kl and temperature; for the first model : kl = 827,99 e-16038/RT menit -1 for the second model : kl = 269,05 e-16038/RT menit -1 These two models valid for temperature between 400-600oC. These model have k2 and k3 value; for the first model : k2 = 3,9 10-6 menit -1 and k3 = 27,72 menit-1 for the second model : k2 = 3,4 10-6 menit -1 and k3 = 27,48 menit-1 Key word : Kinetics - Pyrolysis
