Abstract
Green village or green village is one of the movements of go green by including the role of the village community. The go green village movement is an important activity to be carried out because in order to prevent global warming and save the earth, it is hoped that a village that is environmentally sound, comfortable and environmentally friendly is created. Jagalan Village is one of the villages located in the area of Kota Gede Yogyakarta, almost seventy percent of the population's residential area only has a narrow yard, this is an interesting phenomenon to be solved. To realize a green village not only with a narrow land use program but also related to waste management. The phenomenon related to household waste in Jagalan village is a problem for the village. A large enough cost is needed for waste management so as not to cause problems. With the right technology, garbage that had been a problem as waste, dirty, smelly, causing disease and polluting the environment, now garbage can become goods that can be utilized and have high economic value. There are several problems in creating a green village and the problem of managing the Waste Bank, due to lack of guidance, direction and assistance from various parties. The implementation of community empowerment activities is carried out with training, mentoring socialization of waste bank management, and training on narrow land use by planting trees using hydroponic.
