Abstract
PT. Asia Multi Investama (AMI) is a company engaged in the coal mining business and is a subsidiary of PT. Titan Mining Indonesia, located in Muaro Kilis Hamlet, Tengah Ilir District, Tebo Regency, Jambi Province. PT. Asia Multi investama in mining activities will expand pit 5, one of the efforts to protect workers against potential hazards that can arise, namely through the planning of OSH programs, one of which is hazard identification and risk assessment. The research was conducted to identify the hazards that exist at each stage of the pit 5 expansion activities and risk assessment, and evaluate and implement the results of the risk assessment on the planned expansion activities in the pit 5. Efforts that can be made to minimize accidents are by implementing risk management with steps such as hazard identification, risk assessment, one of them by semiquantitative analysis, risk control, implementing risk control measures, monitoring, and implementing standard operational procedures. After the identification of hazards and risk assessment, there were 174 hazards identified from 39 activities with 114 low risk and 60 medium risks.
