Abstract

The writing of the paper aims to analyze the problems which is taking place by some cooperatives in Kulonprogo whereas going to liquidate their organization. The cooperatives which want to liquidate are KSP Rukun Makmur, Koperasi Wanita Sri Arumjaya, Koperasi Karyawan Listrik (KOPKARLIS), KSU Pejabat, KSU Timbul Abadi, Koperasi Wanita Amor, and Koperasi Wanita Rias. Research on these cooperative’s problems using observations and interviews method which conducted with the speakers source. The results of observations and interviews for 2 months at cooperatives in Kulonprogo are some cooperatives have shortages of capital, their management is weak, the difficulty of reaching the market and the lack of human resources (HR) that arranges the cooperatives, and the economic policies that impartiality with the cooperatives. The existence of this problem, makes cooperatives could not support the people's economy and need to be implemented for revitalization. Because of that, the Cooperative Office wants to liquidate the cooperatives because their administrators and members of cooperatives already does not exist, a tax charged prove incriminating cooperatives, and the administrators and members have been outsourced and unknown whereabouts as well as cooperatives had long not doing aAnnual Members Meeting for almost 4 years in a row.
