Abstract
Ahmadiyah controversy be based of disagree Islam minority to their existence that considered inappropriate with Islam majority, and appraised and deviated by Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI). Indonesia is a country that respect to freedom of religious, that reflected in Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 of Indonesia section 29 point 1 and 2. Including mas media inside of act infected by sistem of the government, culture, and stakeholder. Kompas and Republika as a mass media have differ ideology, more less influence their news report construction. This article analyzes how Kompas and Republika construct the Ahmadiyah controversy using discourse analysis of Van Djik.
