Abstract
Family is the smallest organizational unit that becomes the basis of the larger organizations. Most of human activity is inside in the house, and every human activity must be produce waste. One of the waste generated is solid waste. The quantity of solid waste produced by households varies according to the level of needs and consumption of family members. The level of consumption of each household is influenced by various factors, such as social status, income level, number of family members, and other complex factors. This research tries to analyze the problem using System Thinking approach. System Thingking is able to describe the relationship between the various variables that cause the build up of solid waste in the household. The result obtained is a model of Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) which functioned as a strategic effort in order to solve the problem of household solid waste.
