Abstract
This study aims to determine the differences in perception between accounting sfudenfs start the semesfer and final semesfer of the factot's that influence career choices in terms of financial rewards, professional training, social values, the work environment, job security and the labor market and personality. The study was conducted on 100 sfudenfs in the first year of the study period and 100-year sfudenfs at the end of the study program at the Faculty of Eccnomics of Accounting Sfudies UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta. Of the 200 respondents to respond to the questionnaire. Hypothesis fesfing is done with different test independent sample Ttest if the data were normally distributed and using Mann-Whitney test when the data are not normally distributed. The results showed that perceptions of accounting sfudenfs regarding the factors that influence career choices, it can be concluded that there are differences in perceations of accaunting studenls start the semester and final semesfer as seen from accountants who desire a career in terms of salary or financial rewarCs, professional training, professional recognition, social values, work environment and personality. While considerations of !abor market concluded that there is no difference in the views of accounting sfudents starT the semester and final semester. Keywords: perceptions and career choices
