Abstract
This paper aims to explain the dynamic of Venezuela's economic development under Hugo Chavez administration. It will shows several steps of Chavez's measures such as Venezuela effort to get out from the IMF and the World Bank intervention, nationalization the Venezuela strategic assets, building strong relationship with the other states and did many social projects for its citizen. based on the dependency perspective, it argues that albeit international criticism, Chavez's policy had important effect to the economic development of Venezuela continually.
