Abstract
One of energy carrier that being developed for fuel cell is Hydrogen. This gas can be produced in many ways, one of them is electrolysis. This research is done in order to find out optimum operating point for producing hydrogen based on current and time influence on the amount of produced hydrogen using PEM-Electrolyzer. Electrodes used are special mixed ruthenium-iridium on oxygen side and platinum on hydrogen side. Inside PEM-Electrolyzer, water hydrogen ion moved to cathode to form hydrogen gas. Electro current and trial time influence greatly on the amount of hydrogen produced and its energy efficiency. From this research we conclude that the higher electro current and time used, more amount of hydrogen will be produced and optimum operating point is reached when the value energy efficiency is close to faraday efficiency
