Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan di drawpoint pada level ekstraksi DOZ PT. Freeport Indonesia, Kabupaten Mimika, Papua. Jenis batuan pada daerah penelitian adalah diorit. Bahan peledak menggunakan senatel powerfrag dan anfo, dengan diameter lubang ledak 45 mm, kedalaman lubang 3,7 m, dan diameter lubang kosong 75 mm masih menghasilkan overbreak di daerah rib, back, maupun floor. Peledakan bukaan drawpoint dilakukan dalam 3 tahap yaitu slash pertama, slash kedua, dan round. Berdasarkan kajian pada tahap slash pertama, slash kedua dan round, didapatkan bahwa overbreak dipengaruhi oleh pemakaian bahan peledak yang tidak sesuai pada daerah perimeter (rib dan back) dan floor. Penggunakan bahan peledak powerfrag mempunyai radial crack propagation 1,1 m sehingga bahan peledak yang digunakan mampu menghancurkan batuan radius 1,1 m. Untuk menghasilkan dimensi yang diinginkan serta mengatasi overbreak pemakaian bahan peledak di daerah perimeter cukup dengan trimex tanpa penambahan powerfrag, jarak antara lubang ledak diperpendek menjadi 0,36 m, dengan stemming 0,41 m dan trimex 3 stick masing-masing panjangnya 0,9 m. Kata kunci: Peledakan, Radial Crack Propagation, Overbreak The study was conducted at the level of extraction DOZ drawpoint PT Freeport Indonesia, Mimika District, Papua. Rock types in the study area is diorite. Explosives used senatel powerfrag and ANFO, diameter hole is 45 mm, hole depth is 3.7 m, and the empty hole of 75 mm diameter was produced overbreak in the rib, back, and floor. Blasting openings of drawpoint done in three stages, that is the first slash, second slash, and round. Based on the study in the first slash, second slash, and round, it was found that overbreak influenced by the use of explosives that do not fit in the perimeter area (rib and back) and the floor. The use of esplosives powerfrag have radial crack propagation 1.1 m so explosive that is used to crush rocks with a radius of 1.1 m. To produce the desired dimensions and overcome overbreak should use explosives in an area perimeter with Trimex enough without adding powerfrag, the distance between holes explosives shortened to 0.36 m, stemming 0.41 m, Trimex 3 sticks each of length 0.9 m.
