Abstract

Saturated Hydraulic Conductivity on Latosol Profile in the Zanzibar Clove Plantation. Laboratory study on the three soil profiles of Latosol in the Zanzibar clove plantation were done to obtain information on effective saturated hydraulic conductivity, and distributions of hydrostatic pressure and hydraulic head in the profiles. Soil sample were collected from each soil layer of the profiles. The soil samples were analyzed for saturated hydraulic conductivity, texture, porosity, and organic carbon. Effective hydraulic conductivity of three soil profiles were 0,59 cm/hour, 1,83 cm/hour and 4,62 cm/hour, respectively for Dliwang, Petung I, and Petung II profiles. The soil profile from Petung I showed the biggest voariation in the hydrostatic pressure along the depth.
