Abstract
ABSTRACT Agro industry is a main motivator of agricultural sector development, particularly in the future which position of agricultural sector will be the leading sector of national development and the role of agro industry will be greater. In other words, to realize the strong agricultural sector, modern and efficient as the leading sector, it must be supporting by the developing of agro industry that is strong, modern and efficient. The developing strategy of agro industries must be adjusted with their characteristic and their problem. That is why, it needs to develop the strategies and the policies that are stated that agro industry is as one of leading sector. The right choice of the technology is an important thing in agro industry implementation. This paper will study the technology selection in term of development of rural small industry base on agro industry to increase the farmer’s welfare.
