Abstract

Abstract Sand and stone mining activity is an very important activity in order of development activities. Sand and stone mineral is an important ingredient in physical development activities and also serves to control sedimentation resulting from erosion processes that occuring along the river. Location of the study lies in the sand and stone mining area at Sub Das Serayu, Semampir Village, District of Banjarnegara, Central Java province. This study aims to (1) Determine the value of the rate of river bank erosion by high flow rates in Serayu river (2 ) Examine the impact of erosion on the river bank of sand and stone mining region and (3) determine the direction of the management or conservation of the river by adjusting the conditions of the surrounding land. The method used in this study include field surveys, field observation and rational method. Field surveys conducted to determine the condition of the important aspects in evaluating erosion problems in the area of research. Rational method is used to get the value of the rate of erosion of the parameters. Based on research evaluation in the field, the physical damage that occurs as a result of the swift currents of Serayu river on research areas that access road from trucks operating was cut down and erosion of the slope so as to form of steep slopes and very unstable and increased sedimentation of rivers caused by erosion events. The highest erosion rate that is at the cross number 1 sample number 11 has erosion 1,19 x 10 -5 m/min. Management directives to control the rate of river bank erosion can be done in 2 ways, namely by technological approaches such as the manufacture of rock riprap and institutional approaches. Keywords : Streambank erosion, river bank erosion rate, Serayu river INTISARI Aktivitas penambangan pasir merupakan kegiatan yang sangat penting dalam kegiatan pembangunan. Bahan galian pasir dan batu merupakan bahan penting dalam kegiatan pembangunan dan juga berfungsi mengontrol sedimentasi yang dihasilkan dari proses erosi yang terjadi di sepanjang sungai. Lokasi penelitian terletak di kawasan pertambangan pasir dan batu Sub Das Sungai Serayu Desa Semampir Kecamatan Banjarnegara, Kabupaten Banjarnegara Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui nilai laju erosi tebing sungai oleh tingginya debit aliran di Sungai Serayu (2) Mengetahui dampak erosi tebing sungai terhadap kawasan pertambangan pasir dan batu dan (3) Menentukan arahan pengelolaan atau konservasi sungai dengan menyesuaikan kondisi lahan sekitarnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi survey lapangan, observasi lapangan dan metode rasional. Survey lapangan dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi aspek–aspek penting dalam mengevaluasi permasalahan erosi di wilayah daerah penelitian. Metode rasional digunakan untuk mendapatkan nilai dari laju erosi dari parameter – parameter yang dicari. Berdasarkan evaluasi penelititan di lapangan, kerusakan fisik yang terjadi akibat dari derasnya arus Sungai Serayu yaitu terpotongnya akses jalan dari truk – truk yang beroperasi dan terkikisnya lereng sehingga membentuk lereng yang curam dan sangat tidak stabil serta bertambahnya sedimentasi sungai yang diakibatkan oleh peristiwa erosi. Laju erosi tertinggi yaitu pada penampang 1 sampel nomor 11 memiliki laju erosi 1.19 x 10 -5 m/menit. Arahan pengelolaan untuk pengendalian laju erosi tebing sungai dapat dilakukan dengan 2 cara, yaitu dengan pendekatan teknologi berupa pembuatan rock riprap dan pendekatan institusi.
