Abstract
ABSTRACT
The research objective are determining the availability of groundwater and
groundwater efforts in Gunung Gajah Village and The Surrounding.
Research on groundwater conservation is done by focusing the study through
mathematical methods such as estimation of water balance approach in determining
the availability of groundwater. Then, lithologies and geology structures avaluated to
produce charactheristics of the aquifer. Charactheristics of the aquifer, landform and
slope, groundwater flow direction evaluated to determine groundwater recharge and
discharge area. Slope map, soil type map, lithologies and geology structure map and
landuse map overlayed to produce map of groundwater conservation efforts.
Based on result achieved of this research, found that the availability of
groundwater in village of Gunung Gajah and The Surrounding in 2003 to 2012
respectively are: 2.010.211,8; 2.148.258,1; 2.025.066,3; 1.823.381,7; 1.989.659,7;
2.918.901,3; 1.488.262,6; 2.396.617,3; 1.868.711,2 dan 953.533,9 (m

/year). While
the needs of groundwater in 2012 was 340.555,950 m
3
/year or 36% of the
availability of groundwater. The direction of the management or conservation of
groundwater can be done by applying the bench terraces ducts, gulud terrace ducts,
building amplifier, alley cropping, infiltration wells, biopori, inhibati ng the flow of
surface water drainage, forest conservation and agriculture conservation.

INTISARI
Tujuan penelitian dengan judul Upaya Konservasi Airtanah adalah mengetahui
ketersediaan airtanah dan upaya konservasi airtanah di Desa Gunung Gajah dan
Sekitarnya.
Penelitian mengenai konservasi airtanah ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan
metode matematis berupa estimasi dengan pendekatan neraca air dalam menentukan
ketersediaan airtanah. Selanjutnya satuan batuan dan struktur geologi dievaluasi guna
menghasilkan karakteristik akuifer. Karakteristik akuifer, bentuklahan dan
kemiringan lereng dan arah aliran airtanah dievaluasi untuk menentukan zona
imbuhan dan luahan airtanah. Metode tumpangsusun dilakukan t erhadap peta
kemiringan lereng, jenis tanah, satuan batuan dan penggunaan lahan untuk
menghasilkan peta upaya konservasi airtanah.
Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh bahwa ketersediaan
airtanah di Desa Gunung Gajah dan sekitarnya pada ta hun 2003 sampai 2012 secara
berturut-turut adalah: 2.010.211,8; 2.148.258,1; 2.025.066,3; 1.823.381,7;
1.989.659,7; 2.918.901,3; 1.488.262,6; 2.396.617,3; 1.868.711,2 dan 953.533,9
(m

/tahun). Sedangkan kebutuhan air tanah pada tahun 2012 adalah 340.555,950
m
3
/tahun atau 36% dari ketersediaan airtanah. Arahan pengelolaan atau upaya
konservasi airtanah dilakukan dengan menerapkan teras bangku bersaluran,
bangunan penguat, teras gulud bersaluran, pertanaman lorong (alley cropping),
sumur resapan, biopori, drainase penghambat aliran air permukaan, konservasi hutan
dan konservasi pertanian.
