Abstract
The development of coal prospecting areas requires good mining design, and is directed in order to meet production target. The research location in this paper is located in the North Barito District of Central Kalimantan Province. Based on geotechnical study can be obtained geometry of mining end slope, where the height of individual bench 6m, width 2m, face angle of 60o, overall slope of 37-45o. Based on the concept of multi pit, panel and strip strategy, the coal reserves estimate on the southern block is 1,800,000 tons. The main equipment of the mine is bulldozer Komatsu D 65 E, backhoe (excavator) Komatsu PC 400-6, dump truckKomatsu HD 255-5
