Abstract
PT. Sugih Alamanugroho is one of the limestone mining company in Gunungkidul Regency, operating in Bedoyo Village, Ponjong District. Mining System implemented by PT. Sugih Alamanugroho is surface mining with Quarry method. In raining condition, the runoff can potentially disrupt mining which located at lower area, and during drought there is no rain into the mining area. Especially on the Dengkeng that will be done mining activities, there is currently no mine drainage system, therefore it will be prepared the design of mine drainage system. Based on the analysis of rainfall data from 2006 - 2016, the researcher is able to calculate the scheduled precipitation value by 115,27 mm/day, with rainfall intensity 40,39 mm /hour during 3-year rainfall period and hydrology risk by 86.83%. Rain in the catchment area is divided into four catchment areas, as follows: Catchment Area I = 0,017 km²; Catchment Area II = 0,014 km²; Catchment Area III = 0,014 km²; Catchment Area IV = 0,014 km². Discharge of rain = 0,360 m³ / sec. Discharge of the runoff in each catchment as follows: QCatchment Area I = 0,15 m³ / sec; QCatchment Area II = 0,13 m³ / sec; QCatchment Area III = 0,13 m³ / sec QCatchment Area IV = 0,13 m³ / sec. Furthermore it is necessary to develop open channel around the perimeter mine site to restrain rainwater from entering the mining area and canalize the runoff from disturbing the mine roads. There are 3 open channels with each dimension : Open Channel 1: b = 0,80 m; B = 0,40 m; d = 0,50 m; h = 0,40 m; a = 0,50 m Open Chanel 2 : b = 0,40 m; B = 0,20 m; d = 0,20 m; h = 0,20 m; a = 0,30 m Open Chanel 3 : b = 0,50 m; B = 0,30 m; d = 0,30 m; h = 0,30 m; a = 0,40 m Open Chanel 4 : b = 0,40 m; B = 0,20 m; d = 0,20 m; h = 0,20 m; a = 0,20 m Open Chanel 5 : b = 1,40 m; B = 0,70 m; d = 0,80 m; h = 0,70 m; a = 0,90 m The runoff water from the open channel 5, before streamed into the river, have to be clear into the settling pond. Settling pond designs consist of 3 compartments with each area of 168 m2 and 1792 m3 of volume. The maintenance to dredge out the sediment from settling pond is required every 9 months.
