Abstract

Etructural evolution of the Senmigko pall apart basin in cL,e l undn Errr.rr is analyzed baaed on. palinspasnc reconstrucnon of re-iuerprered seismic reflection data to understand the timing and kinematics of structures ld such basin. We use more than seven multichannel seismic reflection data combined with swa± bathymetey and seismicity data available m tins area. A package rfNW SE trending planar- and lisric-normal Stilts appear to have formed as graben and half graben system. These structure packages are denned as paten and half-grr.ben structures which are developed in ids zone. The mam graben is West Eemangko and Ease Semangko Grabens. whereas another graben serein is recognized frither east, die Krakatau. Graben. The Eemangko Grabens were developed due :o the overstepping af the Humana Fault in the northwestern area, and Ujung Kulon Fault m The southeast. Palinspasric reconstruction snows kmemstic evolution of dee Eemangko Grabens commenced in Middle Miocene. marked by the initiation, of basemen: Smiting with 01 & to 4.771 & extension, depasinon af straiLpaphic UniT 1 and UniT 2 startEd at 4.771-& to 10.SO?i extension contemporaneously with the initiation of uplift of NW-EE rending ridges due to the development of cross-basin fault in a ranstensionaL system. Ihe Plio-Pleistocene Unit 5 deposited during 10 50 to 11.62% extension, accompanied, widi the uplift of ridges and eroded all tori units Based on those observations. Unit 5 was developed as a syn-nanstensional deposu. The western paben appears to be more aenve and developed as compared to dear in the eastern pair, possibly due to the acuvity of Ujung Kulon Fault.
