Abstract

ABSTRAK Daerah “X” terletak di Kota Sorong, Papua Barat dimana terdapat cekungan sedimen yang merupakan obyek penelitian. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui keberadaan cekungan sedimen di Kota Sorong, Papua Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode geofisika gayaberat yang didasarkan pada nilai densitas batuan. Penelitian gayaberat ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan nilai densitas batuan bawah permukaan sehingga dapat mengetahui keberadaan cekungan berdasarkan nilai dari densitas batuannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengolah data sekunder sebanyak 1171 titik. Data tersebut dikoreksi melalui beberapa tahapan koreksi hingga diperoleh nilai Anomali Bouguer Lengkap (ABL). Kemudian dari data ABL dapat dibuat peta ABL yang selanjutnya akan dilakukan upward continuation. Hasil dari upward continuation berupa peta regional yang selanjutnya akan disayat untuk dilakukan pemodelan 3D menggunakan Vloxer agar menyerupai kondisi geologinya. Hasil dari peta regional memiliki nilai range berkisar 61.6 mGal sampai 64.9 mGal. Pada peta sayatan 2D dari A-A’ diperoleh nilai densitas batusabak 2.9 gr/cc, batupasir 2.44 gr/cc, batugamping 2.69 gr/cc, batulempung 2.42 gr/cc dan konglomerat 2.9 gr/cc. Pada pemodelan 3D dari sayatan X-X’ di interpretasikan cekungan sedimen memiliki nilai dengan range berkisar 68.1 mgal sampai 88.1 mgal. Kata kunci : ABL, Densitas, Cekungan, Upward Continuation ABSTRACT "X" area is located in the city of Sorong, West Papua where there are sedimentary basin which is the object of research. The purpose of this research is to determine the existence of sedimentary basins in Sorong, West Papua. This study uses geophysical method, it is gravity method that is based on the density value of rocks. This study carried out to obtain density value of rocks at sub-surface so as to determine the existence of the basin based on the density value of the rock. This study was carried out by processing the secondary data as much as 1171 points. The data were corrected through several stages of correction to obtain the value of Bouguer Anomaly (ABL). Then the data can be made ABL map which would be carried upward continuation. Results of upward continuation was form of maps which will be slacing to do 3D modeling using Vloxer to resemble geological conditions. The Results of the regional map has a value ranging from 61.6 mGal to 64.6 mGal, in 2D slice maps of density values obtain batusabak 2.9 gr/cc, sandstone 2.44 gr/cc, limestone 2.42 gr/cc, and konglomerat 2.9 gr/cc. In the 3D modeling of the X-X' slice is interpreted sedimentary basins which has a density value with range of the value from 68.1 mGal to 88.1 mGal.
