Abstract
ABSTRACT
Sulawesi located between Eurasia Plate and Pasific Plate is possibly the
most complex in the eastern Indonesian, which island arc rocks, melange,
ophiolite, and pieces of microcontinent carried along with subduction and
collision process. Based from new interpretation from seismicity and tomography,
there are reversal arc in Gorontalo Bay and double subducion in Molluca Sea
( Hall & Spakman, 2015). Relocated earthquake data can be used to analyze
structure in subduction zone.
This study using simulated annealing rellocated method to obtain new
hypocenter points. Simulated annealing method based on themodynamical
process of substance forming. Data process using matlab R2009b software.
Tomography aims to display the results of data processing relocation. Software
tomography used in this study is FMTOMO. Earthquake data used in this study is
the earthquake data from 1900 to 2013. The data used is the P wave data taken
from ISC (International Seismological Center) with the number 3031 earthquake
events.
Relocation using simulated annealing method shows that new hypocenter
point moved 2 km southeast from original locations. Based from tomography
result, there are double subduction at slice D-D’ and E-E’ also reversal arc at
slice A-A’.
