Abstract
ABSTRACT
Facility planning of departement is very important because if the layout of
company well directly will save the cost of the production. PT MBG Putra
Mandiri is one of the manufacture company that has eight departements in
production process, where in the layout that has shortage because has
backward movement directly make the cost total of material handling increase and so
do the energy.
In solving the problem the algorithm that use is CRAFT and BLOCPLAN,
because of the research that have done of G. Anisa K. (2002), the best algorithm to
solve the problem of the departemen that has less ten department is CRAFT and
BLOCPLAN algorithm.
Based on the result of each algorithm, algorithm that give the little
cost total of material handling are CRAFT and then BLOCPLAN algorithm that have
nominal is Rp 427.520,00 if compare with first layout that have nominal Rp
3.068.124 and have difference amount Rp 2.640.604,00 beside it this algorithm
have big score of nearby relation that is 0,75.

ABSTRAK
Perencanaan fasilitas suatu perusahaan sangatlah penting untuk diperhatikan,
karena apabila tata letak perusahaan tersebut sudah baik dan tepat secara tidak
langsung akan menghemat dari segi biaya produksinya. PT MBG Putra Mandiri
adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur yang memiliki delapan
departemen untuk proses produksinya, dimana di dalam tata-letaknya terdapat
kekurangan karena adanya gerakan bolak-balik yang secara tidak langsung
menyebabkan total ongkos material handlingyang sangat besar dan juga energi yang
dikeluarkan juga semakin besar.
Di dalam pemecahan masalahnya algoritma yang dipakai adalah algoritma
CRAFT dan BLOCPLAN karena berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh G.
Anisa K. (2002), algoritma yang terbaik untuk memecahkan masalah tata letak
fasilitas yang memiliki jumlah departemen kurang dari sepuluh departemen adalah
algoritma CRAFT dan BLOCPLAN.
Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari masing-masing algoritma, algoritma
yang memberikan total ongkos material handlingyang paling kecil adalah algoritma
BLOCPLAN dan CRAFT yaitu sebesar Rp 427.520,00 yang bila dibandingkan
dengan tata letak awal sebesar Rp 3.068.124 dan memiliki selisih sebesar Rp
2.640.604,00 selain itu algoritma ini juga memiliki skor hubungan kedekatan yang
paling tinggi yaitu sebesar 0,75
